I was first exposed to the World Wide Web in 1995 when I was only a teenager. The Internet had just been introduced in Europe and very few people knew about this new technology. After surfing for an entire afternoon with a slow and unreliable 28.8 Kbps bandwidth connection (some of you probably remember how it was back then), I realized that I wanted to devote my professional career to this incredible new communication medium.
The first website that I designed was for a Xerox concessionary in 2000 during my sophomore year in a French university. Realizing that the Internet was far more developed in United States, I decided to cross the Atlantic and attend an American university. I took several technology management courses in 2001 at New Jersey Institute of Technology and completed my education at Florida Tech, where I graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems.
After graduating, I worked for 2 years for the Cultural Services Department of the French Embassy. Here, I was responsible for promoting, primarily through the Internet, the French cultural and educational video programs in United States. It is during this period that I really started to launch my freelance career and designed several websites. I also assisted businesses in revamping and improving their website, facilitating their users' experience and optimizing their online visibility.
I have also worked for 2 years as the Online Marketing & Communication Manager for an international B2B media company. This experience greatly increased my skills and knowledge in web marketing including mass-email distribution, search engine marketing, search engine optimization, and affiliation.
